Our Hospice Services and Specialties
The focus of Guardian Angel Hospice is to provide palliative hospice care for terminally ill patients. Services provided by Guardian Angel Hospice include:
* Oversight by Hospice Medical Director
* Skilled Nursing Care
* Home Health Aide & Homemaker Services
* Social Services
* Counseling, including Spiritual and Dietary
* Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy
* Volunteer Services
* Nurses on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
* Short-term acute Inpatient Care, including respite
* Continuous Care
* Medical equipment and supplies related to the terminal illness
* Medication for symptom management related to the terminal illness
* Bereavement Support for a minimum of 13 months.
All services should be geared towards comfort, approved by the interdisciplinary team, and not rehabilitative or curative in nature .

We serve Jefferson, Orleans, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. Charles, St. James, St. Tammany, and St. John the Baptist Parishes within a 50 mile radius from our office.

Hospice services are available to all individuals facing a terminal illness who reside within Guardian Angel Hospice’s service area. Care can be provided in the home, a home-like setting, or a skilled nursing facility. Anyone can seek information about hospice services at any time.
Cost for care is covered by Medicare, Medicaid, Veteran’s Administration, most insurance companies, and private pay. However, hospice services are not based on a person’s ability to pay. Guardian Angel Hospice, to the maximum extent possible, accepts patients regardless of ability to pay.
